I have been so excited to share this post with you. This was my first time at San Francisco Fashion Week and it was a great start to my move to San Francisco a month ago.
Before I proceed, pardon me on the low quality picture. The lights were not the best and I only had my phone to capture the moments.
SF Fashion Week was truly an interesting experience. I have attended fashion week in India and Singapore and I can pretty much say that every country has a very different style. India is all about drapes, embellishments, glitz, shine, colours , very reflective of the ethnic culture it embodies. Singapore is a country which has people from all over the world so you can see a beautiful mix of the asian and the western world in its couture. You can say the drama of Asia meets the ease of the European world.
San Francisco on the other hand was chic, casual, trendy and has its own personality, a personality that is very comfortable in its own skin.
I was lucky enough to be part of SF Fashion Week as a style blogger. I, along with 15 other fashion bloggers got to be part of Style Connect event on Wednesday, 23rd September. In this segment, the fashion bloggers got to showcase the gorgeous fall collection of Ambiance SF, a fashion boutique with unique and modern collection. Each of the blogger was given a theme on the basis of which we had to pick out outfits. Mine was lace.
So after a couple of trials on the the fitting day, I finally found something in my size and one which fit the theme. Yes, I find it hard to get outfit for my size at times due to my small stature.
I picked a black lace romper as it suited my fashion personality, fun yet sensuous.

The actual day was pretty fun. We got our make up, practiced our walk on the runway and voila we were in front of the audience.
Make up :Dorota Sz ; Hair : I wish I knew her name but she did a great job

One of the requisites of the outfit was to layer it and with the help of Lynn, one of the volunteers, we threw in a leather sleeveless jacket and a soft scarf around to meet the them of autumn and fall.

The week was a busy one, so the only other event I could attend as part of SF Fashion Week was its Close and the High Fashion showcase. Noted designers like Shoreh Rahmani and Jennifer Schmidt showcased their collection.

Can’t wait for the next fashion week.
Hope you enjoyed this post. Till more events and outfits next time.
We heart you,♥
