What is the Tulle Skirt :
This skirt is made of tulle ( pronounced as ~ Tool) which is a lightweight cloth. It is finely netted and often starched. It is made of various fibres, including silk, nylon and rayon.
The name comes from Tulle, a southern central city of france.Tulle was a center of lace and silk in the 18th cntturel and it is said that perhaps tulle netting orgiinated in this city .
Tulle is often used in wedding gowns, tutus, ballet costume and beils. They can be easily dyed in many colours. The majority of tulle is actually bobbinet. Bobbinet is made by wrapping the weft thread (crosswise thread) around the warp thread, creating a strong hexagonal design which tends not to twist or fall out of shape, because the wrapped threads maintain a state of tension. The result is tulle netting which is lightweight and surprisingly strong and durable for its weight. (source : Wiki)
