Looking for a coffee table? Then read on to see my top tips to choose a coffee table and 8 of my favorite coffee tables:
When we moved into our new home and selected our grey sofa, we wanted a coffee table that could go with our neutral grey-blue aesthetic. So began my coffee table search. There were a couple of tips my interior designer gave me to ensure I pick the right one:
- Check dimensions and floor plan – Create a floor plan of your living space to ensure the coffee table fits well in terms of size. You don’t want too many big things if you have a small space. So when you select a coffee table, make sure you check the specifications and dimensions before ordering.
- Read reviews before purchasing – Sometimes the picture on the site may not match the actual product, so as much as possible, look at the reviews and photos submitted by past consumers to give you an idea of how the actual product looks
- Plan your theme – Select a coffee table based on your color scheme. Too many colors or too many things of the same color may or may not work for you, so create a list and jot down colors of your sofa, accents, dining table, end table, accent chairs, etc and then see how your coffee table fits into all of it. Alternatively you can pick a coffee table you like and then choose things that fit around that
- Take your time – You don’t have to rush into buying everything. If sofa is your main priority, order that first and then choose a coffee table that matches with it. It’s ok to figure our your preference slowly.
So through this process, I found so many coffee tables I fell in love with and thought I’ll compile them for you, in case you are looking for one too. Here are all the pieces that I absolutely LOVE.
