Here is how I created my beautiful pink home office by transforming my boring room into my personal work haven
So after moving into our new home, I knew I wanted my own little space, my very own pink home office. Being a social media coach and blogger, having an office where I could focus, work and let my creative juices flow was essential.
So I took one of the rooms on the third floor to be my little haven. In terms of colors I knew I wanted muted pink and gold accents along with lots of wall art which I partnered with Poster Store to get and transform my boring white room into a beautiful pink home office.
Before
Here is how my home office looked before any kind of transformation.
Painting The Room Pink
The first step to transforming the room was to create a statement wall. Since our wall is textured, using a wall paper was just too much work. So we decided to paint one of the walls muted pink on which we wanted wall art. We used Sherwin William’s Glamour which is a very muted nude pink as our choice of color.
Adding Furniture
In terms of furniture, I kept the room super simple by getting a white and gold table and pink chair. I also converted my old cream bookshelf into a new one by painting it bright white and gold side to match the room aesthetic.
Along with that, I added a pink throw, mauve rug and a pink cushion as accents for the room.
Adding Wall Art
Finally the most important part of the room was to choose the wall art. For this we decided to partner with Poster Store. When it came to choosing the posters, I was looking for an easy process of choosing and ordering.
Wall art can be usually tricky especially with the sizing and quality so instead of buying the art and frames separately, I used the gallery option on Poster Store to make my decisions.
Their gallery art selection is huge. So you can browse through for inspiration and choose the exact frames and pieces for the art you like. Here is how it looks like:
I decided to go for pink wall art and gold frames to suit the aesthetic that I was trying to achieve. My most favorite piece which I wanted as the center piece was ” The Creative Process” under the typography category that pretty much summed up my creative journey. Creatives, check this poster out, you will totally relate to it.
And so, drumroll… here is how my room turned out
