The 40th People’s Choice was exciting with Sandra Bullock stealing most of the awards. But like all event, the most interesting part is the red carpet. Many starts gave us a preview of the spring summer collection of many designers. They also gave us an idea on the upcoming trends.Monochrome and bodycons are here to stay.Black and white were favourites on the red carpet. Most stars went for a simple look and make up.Unlike the previous years, we hardly saw any garish outfits this time.Everyone was either simple ,classy or both.
Let us however look at our favourites and least favourite outfits.
The WORST :
1.Stana Katic in a Naeem Khan
The Castle actress, Stana Katic wore an off cream with red motif gown by Naeem Kham from his 2014 Spring Collection. They however remind us of sofa and cushion covers. We think with a slender figure like Stana , she could have done better.

2.Cheryl Burke
The Dancing With the Stars wore a purple metallic figure hugging dress with a pale peep toe.Yes we love the figure but we hate the dress. The design of the dress might purposely have cuts on it, but it looks like the sequins of the dress are missing at certain places. On a whole the dress is too shiny for us.

3. Emily Deschanel in a Maz Azria Creation
Emily Deschanel might have tried to keep it simple but we think she kept it too simple. The dress is plain, long and boring.Note her Edie Parker clutch though. It is to die for.Her shoes are from Miss Delicious , earring from House of Lavande and ring by Swarovski.

4.Melissa Rauch in a Rubin Singer
Sometimes the ugliest designs can look stunning if it fits well but sometimes even a pretty pink can fail if it does not fall right. That is what is happening with Melissa here. She looks like a doll, the colour is right, the sandals and clutch go well but the fitting of the pretty pink dress does not cut it.The bottom asymmetrical ruching of the dress gives it a rather unshapely look.

The BEST:
1.Nina Dobrev in a Jenny Packham Gown
Nina Dobrev looks absolutely stunning with this silver embellished black dress and silver strap heels. Her hairstyle , sultry makeup gave her the perfect shine for the evening.

2.Naya Rivera in a Michael Kors
We love Naya’s block dress. The long cut below the waist showcases her slender figure just the right way. Many fans state that the Glee actress took inspiration from Kim Kardashian in terms of her style. She also took along a Kotur clutch to pair with the gorgeous dress.

3.Beth Behrs in a Giulietta
Beth Behrs of “2 Broke Girls” wore a colour block, black and white Giulietta gown from the Spring 2014 collection. She teemed it up Rene Caovilla pumps and David Webb jewels. We love the simplicity of the dress and the way it falls. The slight in the middle is just right.

4.Keltie Knight in her own ensemble
Keltie Knight unlike the other celebrities is not a very famous figure. She is an amazing broadcaster ,dancer, expert and a host who has interviewed countless icons of the music world, including Pink,Miley Cyris,Alicia Keys,Psy,Mariah Carey, etc.Hence we couldn’t help but feature her for the beautiful ensemble she is wearing. We love the combination of a black lace cropped top with a polka dot long skirt. She carries it with uber style.

5.Olga Fonda in a Armani
Olga of “Vampire Diaries” shines in this silver dress by Giorgio Armani. We love the black belt in the middle.Belts sometimes can make such a huge difference to even the plainest clothes. We also love those black straps of the dress.

6.Desi Lydic
We love red.We love a strapless well fitted chilly red gown even more.It is simple yet classy. The “Awkward” series start looks extremely beautiful in this outfit which she has teemed up with a rather elegant bun hairstyle.
