I have always been someone who is finding and supporting natural remedies to daily problems. As a result of which, I have always been a fan of natural oils. So when a dear friend and founder of MoringaWhat introduced me to the Moringa oil or oil that is extracted from the seeds of Moringa oleifera, also known as the Drumstick tree, I was kicked to try it.
The wooden bottle of oil was sent in a beautiful packaging with a stunning oil painting postcard made by the founder Ekom Mamik. ( Oh yes she is an amazing painter as well, contact details below)
The oil came in a super cute jute cloth bag in line with it’s belief of ‘au naturale’. The interesting bit you should know is that the founder stumbled upon the benefits of the Moringa Oleifera tree during her time at a model sustainable village of HIV orphaned children and grandparents in rural Kenya. She had quit her job in a top investment bank to spend some time exploring the world and helping those in need. It is during her stint there that she saw one of the villagers pounding dried Moringa leaves into powder. She then researched and found the numerous benefits of it and that this has been used in various cultures over the century.
Moringa oil is known for its numerous benefits. It has anti-oxidants and anti bacterial properties which makes your skin not only supple but provides nutrition to your skin and relieves ageing signs. It is a great moisturizer for the skin and drives away dead cells.
I tried this oil for 2 weeks to see if it is really what it claims and without bias I can state that I found that my skin seemed more hydrated and soft. It’s definitely been added to my rack of essential oils and if you are someone who likes exploring home remedies and natural skin and hair care solutions, this is one oil you must try.
If you need to know more details about it, feel free to shoot me an email/message or to purchase this oil, head over to MoringaWhat’s website where you can contact Ekom to know more about her product. Their instagram page is MoringaWhat
