So Pantone has finally announced the colour of the year 2015 – Marsala a ruddy brownish red hue.It has pink and caramel undertones and overall a warming effect.
Think Marsala and think glazed earth, dark swiss chocolate gelato, and rich red wine.
It is an elegant yet humble colour that can resonate with anyone.

Women are extremely lucky in a way that they have more than one way to incorporate this colour.Be it in makeup, clothes, scarves or accessories.
This toasted burgundy colour looks royal and elegant and would look lovely on evening dresses and gowns.A tulle skirt in this colour would be my favorite pick just like Mila Kunis is wearing below.
Marsala coloured shoes simply looks glamorous.Wear it in sync with the same colour outfit,play safe by pairing with black ( black gown and a burgundy clutch) or play with colours and go contrast ( cream blouse with a burgundy jacket)
Lipsticks and eyeshadows are also very popular in this shade and would be apt for a night look.
If there is one thing I can think of that I would personally purchase in this beautiful rich colour, it would be leather.I think Marsala looks great in leather be it skirts or jackets.Scarves and trousers in this colour are also a great option to wear during winters.
