Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015 just commenced. With tons of established and upcoming talented young designers, there were a few whose collection we couldn’t stop gaga-ing over. All you girls, check them out and get inspiration for your bridal trousseau, party wear, wedding events or just outfits in your wardrobe that will make you stand out.
Arpita Mehta :
There something soft yet bohemian about Arpita Mehta’s collection, almost gypsy-like, almost Pocahontas- like. There is a flow, a continuity, an ethereal feeling about her collection. Her soft pastel colors with colorful embellishments seems to just glide its way into our hearts.

Anushree Reddy:
This is one designer I have been following for over a year.Every outfit of hers exceeds my fondness of the previous one.She has a natural knack of blending different colours. Various hues of the same intensity are combined together to make the most elegant outfit you can ever imagine. Her cuts, designs and dupattas are something to note.If you are hunting for the perfect wedding trousseau, she is the one to you should follow.

Manish Malhotra:
Now who doesn’t know Manish Malhotra, our favourite for years.Bollywood actresses like Kajol, Madhuri are just some of the actresses epitomized by his chic collections. Manish Malhotra’s Blue Runway collection has been described by Vogue as “sprawling Eden-like forest—all trees and tangled vines, glowing orb lights and the scent of jasmine hanging in the air”
The use of florals in mauve to cerulean blue to a tinge of yellow and golden, makes his collection to die for.It transports you straight into the land of a fantasy forest.

Nishka Lulla
Clean, simple and edgy. That is what describes Nishka Lullas collection. Bralets, crop top, sheer, midis, are used abundantly and immediately connect with trends that are seen today. We love how her focus is on the dress cuts while she simplifies the colours to the heavenly whites and pastels.

Riddhi Mehra
Brides , another designer you should look out for.Riddhi Mehra’s fusion indian collection makes for a perfect evening or cocktail wear.Crop tops with lehengas, one shoulder with palazzos or high necks with skirts, Riddhi Mehra’s collection is one that you should seek if you want to look tad different on your special day.

Anamika Khanna
Diva-like is what I would call Anamika Khanna’s collection. It is almost like all the Greek goddesses have met the Indian ones. Flowy drapes to dhoti- pants. Her collection of white, gold, beige and metallic colors exudes mystery with divinity. No wonder, Kareena Kapoor was the perfect choice to represent her brand as the show stopper.

Neha Agarwal
Trance, rejuvenation, hypnosis, zen .4 words summarize Neha Agarwal’s ensemble of outfits.Lots of flowers ,lots of colors and lots of shapes transports you into another world altogether.A very different mixture of ensemble and definitely for those on the sporty-creative front.

Suneet Verma
Colorful India is what can be seen in Suneet Verma’s evergreen collection.Absolutely one of my favorites. His use of colors from bright reds, vermillion and hot pinks to subtle peach ,beige and gold.Add on some purple and multicolor and you have almost covered the whole spectrum.Corsets, tulle, mirrors, drapes, jackets, tunics and lehengas with amazing embroidery ,Suneet Verma is one multi -talented designer. As much as we can see his love for Indian outfit, he doesn’t limit his creativity to just one cut or one design. Suneet Verma loves to experiment and that is very much evident from his indian to indian-fusion collection this year.

Sabyasachi:
“64 models, in 120 looks, all exaggeratedly dressed in the memory of two cine-stars of super sexuality—Zeenat Aman and Parveen Babi ” (by Vogue)
Sabyasachi’s runway was big, bold and cinematic. Each model adopted the very filmy aviator look.Unlike others years where Sabyasachi has gone for the pretty and elegant colored outfits, this year he maintains a serious, dark, intriguing yet larger than life look.Sleek clothing with lots of sequins along with flared pants and flowy dresses seem to be his favourite. What I ,however love about Sabyasachi’s clothes, year after year is the way he drapes women and bring out their curves, and that for me is what stands outs.
We heart you,♥
