The season everyone has been waiting for, is finally here. Take out those pretty dresses, floral shirts and frilly skirts. Embrace the sun and smell the flowers. Welcome Spring !
Every season has its set of trending colours which can be seen vividly on the runway, amidst bloggers, in fast retailers, etc. This season I bring to you my favourite 6 shades that are in trend and a must have in your spring shopping spree.
If you wish to purchase any of the below designs, simply click on the photo and you will be redirected to their main website.
Pastel Pink
Since the time Pantone announced Rose Quartz as one of its Color of the Year along with Blue Serenity, pastels are high in trend especially the light pinks. Pastel pinks symbolize an air of freshness and daintiness. Use them in tulle skirts, sheer blouses or even lace dresses. If you want to look edgy, wear pastel pink in modern silhouettes like blazers ,pink overcoats or tailored separates.
My Favourite ‘Pastel Pink’ Look – A white crop top with pink tulle skirt along with nude pumps and a nude floral statement necklace.
Spiced Rose
Spiced Rose is very similar to coral. It oozes chic fun. Coral looks great with both warm and cool skin tones so it is often a favourite amongst women, both in clothes and makeup. Think sheer coral blouse, knit sweater, A-line dress or even a pair of culottes. This versatile color is a must have this spring.
My Favourite ‘Spiced Rose’ Look – A coral shift dress with taupe heels.
Ombre
Ombre is when tones shade into each other especially in fabrics where the colors graduate from light to dark and this form of shading is super trendy this season. They are perfect to bring out the bohemian lass in you. Get those ombre pants or skirts and pair them with some statement necklace and tassel bags and you are set for the season.
My Favourite ‘Ombre’ Look – A blue ombre flare pants with a a green tucked in top and a chunky statement necklace along with a pair of neutral-color wedges.
Chambray
Traditionally, chambray is a lightweight fabric that uses a colored warp weaved with a white filling yarn. The colored warp is not necessarily but usually blue (which is why we confuse it with denim). Today, however, many people loosely refer ‘chambray’ as a lightweight denim blue color. Whether you refer chambray as a color or the textile, the fact remains that the ‘light blue denim’ look is trending. You will often catch bloggers combining chambray tops with denim jeans.
My Favourite ‘Chambray’ Look – A simple chambray top with white denim pants and chunky boots.
Muted Brown
Muted brown or earthy tones are perfect for a calm spring look. Extremely popular as a work color, you can pair neutral tops like a white blouse with brown cigarette tapered pants, palazzos or even skirts.
My Favourite ‘Muted Brown’ Look – A white V-neck loose sleeve blouse tucked in a muted brown cigarette pants and paired with nude pumps.
White
Whites are eternal and are almost every season’s favourite. Lace, cotton, linen, leather, name a textile and you are bound to find white favourites in them. Fill your wardrobe with white flare pants and silk tops because most likely they will be trending in the summer too.
My Favourite ‘White’ Look – A simple white lace dress with pastel pink stilettos.
