Hey everyone,
Today on the blog we are going to discuss the 7 types of equipment/tools you need if you want to start professionally making youtube videos or Vlogging.
When I started off making videos a couple of months ago, I had no clue what to use. In the beginning, I used only my phone but as I got used to it and started learning more, I discovered the best tools to use while recording videos.
Now you definitely don’t need all of them and I wouldn’t recommend spending tons of money in the beginning. But once you get used to shooting, these are some of the tools can help you start creating professional videos.
Selfie Stick + Tripod Two In One
When I first started, I just had a selfie stick and my phone and I recorded all my videos through it. The best part about this selfie stick was that it came with an attachment and I could convert it into a tripod. It could easily be disassembled to make it small enough in size to carry in your handbag wherever you go.

2. A DSLR
In the beginning, it was only my phone I would use to shoot videos but as I started understanding my niche and becoming more regular, I actually invested in a good DSLR camera. Both Nikon and Canon are fantastic cameras to record high-quality videos.
Definitely on the more expensive side, hence I would recommend investing in it when you have saved up and ready. Eventually, you will also have to buy lenses to shoot different depth of videos. I shoot most of my videos with a 50mm lens.
If you have the money, this buy is definitely worth it to up your video game. Plus you can also take amazing pictures with it.

3. A Ring Light
Now, this is one product, I will recommend everyone to have even if you have just started. It is so hard to control the lighting conditions at home sometimes but with the ring light, you can always ensure you have good lighting. In my previous house, the lighting was poor and all my videos looked yellowish or orange. I researched what the best Youtubers were using and discovered the ring light. With the ring light, your videos will receive enough light and make the quality look much whiter, clearer and cleaner. Remember, good lighting can make or break your videos.

You can also have a mini ring light for your phone.
I also have a handy ring light which I use for my phone if I have to shoot spontaneous videos or even selfies at low-lit places.

4. A Vlogging Camera
iPhones and smartphones honestly are great to start your vlogging journey with but again, sometimes in low-light, the quality can be affected with grainy shots. In such situations, it helps to have a better camera. So when you are ready to take your vlogging journey to the next level, I would highly recommend the Canon Powershot. A lot of vloggers and YouTubers use this to capture a day in the life or for traveling. Plus it comes with a flip camera so you can see what you shoot.

5. A DSLR Tripod
When you are shooting tutorials, lookbooks, one on one chats, it’s important to make sure your screen is not shaky and the frame is stabilized. For that, it’s always helpful to have a steady and good quality tripod.
This is my personal recommendation as it’s affordable and steady at the same time.

6. A mini speaker for your phone/ DSLR
Last but not least, if you don’t want to invest in a big expensive speaker for your videos, this mini speaker is great to ensure you have good sound quality either when recording on your phone or DSLR. this mini speaker is handy, can fit into many devices and records your voice pretty well for your videos.
