If you are looking for some fashion inspiration for Christmas, renowned Makeup artist and Vice President of AICI Communication, HK ( Association of Image Consultants International), Faye Pan and I collaborated to bring you 3 looks using the colours of Christmas that you can try for this holiday season. Outfits are by the gorgeous collection of Mary Hu from Calino.
LOOK 1 :
Inspiration : “Keep it Simple”
Outfit : Katrina is dressed in a day to day wear. Knitted sweater over a printed top and denim jeans. A bit of pearl and scarf has been added to uplift her otherwise casual look. This look is great for a day outing or even a trip to the mall or lunch with your friends.
Makeup : Faye has used a nude colour foundation to keep a natural look. She adds the shades of green and yellow eye-shadow to create a blended effect. Using the double-tone eyeshadow automatically adds fun and zing to your simple outfit. Keep your eyes dramatic and lips soft for maximum effect. Faye also recommends using an eye primer to pop out the colour and a cream-blended blush for a more natural look.
LOOK 2 :
Inspiration : “Girly Fun”
Outfit : Green can be a gorgeous color if worn well. We added a green overcoat to complement the green tones of Katrina’s pant and added a scarf to increase the contrast of her overall look. Wear this look to fashion events, parties or just shopping with your girls. You can tone down the blush to maintain a neutral day look.
Makeup : Katrina has been given a shimmery smokey look. Faye has toned down her lip colour to emphasis the eye. The blush has been brightened to give Katrina a more doll-like look.
Inspiration : “Sophistication”
Outfit : Add a statement longline blazer and see heads turn. Wearing a statement piece on neutrals, be it a blazer, necklace , earring or scarf can make a lot of difference to your overall look. Katrina is wearing a simple cutout black dress but looks stunning with the addition of the contrast hot pink jacket. It is perfect for a date night or evening wear.
Makeup : Faye has given Katrina a shimmery blue eyeshadow with the much loved winter lip shade- the berry lipstick. The makeup matches her outfit perfectly well. Tone down on the blush if you are going for a date night else glam it up if you are going for a party.
